Thanks Zafar Iqbal New Yorker

There is no place like New York, when it comes to being an expose and venue for South Asian community and culture. This cosmopolitan city is more of a “Salad Bowl” than a “Melting Pot”, because of adherence of South Asian communities to their original culture and way of life. Fine arts, especially Urdu poetry and original urdu music recordings are alive and flourishing in this great city.

…….I was amazed to learn that Just one recording artist, Zafar Iqbal New Yorker, has created over two hundred original recordings of works of legendary and contemporary poets of South Asia. Blessed with a great voice and a passion for broadcast technology, he has chosen to immerse himself in the service and propagation of South Asian music and culture. The way he has valued and propagated all those that have contributed to Urdu Poetry in past and those that are doing so now, is worth noticing and commendable.
…….In these Covid-19 days of forced quarantine and house confinement, his services are not only most useful but quite necessary for any semblance of normalcy in life.
Thanks Zafar Iqbal New Yorker.
